Off to America

November 4, we headed off to America for a 2 month long visit. Some may ask, how is this possible with your husband working ? We are in  one of those privileged places that either the Mom or Dad can take the work leave after a baby is born. Most of the time I am taking it, but for these two months Janis took it. Which meant that he was paid to be with the kids :)

After landing in Copenhagen we had a 5 hour wait. Thankfully they had this play center where the kids got to play with all the fun things. Amelija loved pretending to cook for us and Daniel played with the trains non-stop!
My parents picked us up in Chicago and we then started driving back to Nebraska. We stayed in Davenport and the next morning they took us to "The Shed" to eat breakfast. Daniel loved the tractors outside, and they brought each child a tractor to play with during their wait for breakfast.
They had the largest cinnamon rolls I have EVER seen, each one was almost as big as my head. No kidding!
Janis got a kick out of all the country style decorations- the waitresses all had overalls on. And wow, were their portions huge and yummy! Welcome to America!

Mom bought me one for the road.
