After 7 years of living without a dryer. They are not very popular here. . . I have now been blessed with this wonderful machine. 3 kids means lots of clothes and we have been drying our clothes on our radiators in winter, and on the line in summer for the past 6 years.
Thanks to my husband for this nice gift. I feel almost like I am in America :)
I feel spoiled and as if perhaps we really don't need this. But I also feel tickled that my husband decided of his own accord that this was necessary :) I always new from my American upbringing that it certainly does make life easier :) What is a Mamma to do when the clothes pile up in the summer time (when we don't heat the house) and it rains for days on end?! Or when we can only wash one small load a day due to no more room on the radiators for drying any more clothes!
I am getting to know our new machine and appreciate its helpful capabilities. I don't plan on using it summer- unless it is rainy, which happens a good deal in damp Latvia.
Thanks God for smiling on us with this gift of convenience!
What a wonderful gift from God (and your husband of course)! Now you can take something out of the nice warm dryer and wrap it around yourself when you are cold!
ReplyDeleteI think Grandma didn't get a dryer until we were all grown. I could be wrong. I am happy for you, and think Janis was truly thinking of YOU!!
