Science Museum

On day 3 of our visit to Paris we decided to head to the Science Museum. We had read they have a fantastic section for children ages 2-7 and we had decided that when Daniel would be fed up with everything we would go there.

The museum was a bit pricey, but so worth it! We were able to go with Daniel, and at a set time entered along with a huge bunch of other preschool kids. Daniel LOVED exploring the various exhibits. There were different things to listen to. There were wacky mirrors and houses to enter. There was an exhibit having to do with small, bigger, and biggest, with bikes in 5 sizes. There was a hands on exhibit where kids could screw and "fix" a car. Daniel loved pretending he was the mechanic and put to use all the observation he has had in watching Dad! There was a maze, which Daniel didn't care for. A construction site playground, where the kids had to wear hard hats and vests and they they could push plastic wheel barrows, mix invisible concrete, and lift bricks with a real kid friendly crane! It was also amazingly thought out and Daniel had a wonderful time. We didn't realize our time was limited and so our time in the water room was cut short.

If anyone has a child and is visiting Paris this is well worth the cost to have a happy child. When Janis tells about his favorite part of our time in Paris he says it was this museum.

We went home for the afternoon and the kids were able to get short naps. Then we headed to the river and took a boat ride down the river, under the famous bridges and along the beautiful shores. All the famous sites were well lit up and well explained and it was a great ride. Amelija even slept the whole time so I was able to listen to the narrated tour.
