Off to Paris

Monday, November 15 we began our journey to Paris. We had booked cheap tickets flying from Lithuania. And so we made the 4 hour drive to Kauna to catch our Ryanair flight to Paris.
We arrived in Paris about 19:30 or 7:30 P.M. We then had to take a bus to the center of Paris. From the bus station we were to take the metro, actually 2 metros to the area we were to stay.
Everything went well until we realized the metro station had no lifts and no escalators. We we then had to unload our stroller and slowly make our way up and down several flights of stairs. We had borrowed a double stroller from friends which seemed like a good idea, but when Amelija was fed up and I had to put her in the sling things got complicated.
Another problem arose when we our stroller was too wide to go through the area where people would insert their tickets. There was a gate for strollers and wheelchairs, with a call button. However, we rang the button to no avail. There was also a desk where a man had been selling tickets and then disappeared. We knocked on the window, we paced the floor, and we waited.
Janis even suggested we start doing some sort of prank so that the security camera would pick us up and someone would come help us :) We were bone tired, finally Janis went and pounded (louder than I had) on the window and the man came our of the back. We then were able to carry on our way.
Fortunately we found the place we were to stay, with a little help from a friendly boy We were so thankful to finally be there, despite having to have to carry the stroller to the 3rd floor (without the kids).
Oh, how excited I was to finally be in Paris. I couldn't wait for daylight to began to enjoy its beauty.
