While in Rome- Tuesday

We're on the plane headed home. I can't wait to see my sleeping children.

Today we ate a lovely breakfast on the 6th floor of our hotel. We had a lovely view with the Vatican just a ways away. It was a beautiful, very sunny morning.

We went through the market and bought Daniel a Pinocchio marionette

We took the metro to another part of town to a market that was supposed to be something very authentic. It didn't impress us. . .

We had ice cream again. I had pistachio and hazelnut. Janis had lemon and cinnamon. The lemon was way too strong- but the others were very yummy.

We took a train to the city where our airport was. We decided to walk, rather than taking the bus. Supposedly it was a 5 minute bus ride. This was a VERY BAD idea. We ended up walking at least an hour around the airport. It was too far- thankfully we did not miss our flight and had time to spare.

I am worn out and eager to be home. I feel sad that we didn't get gifts for a few friends- but ran out of time and opportunities. Oh well.

I also regret not tasting "real' Italian pizza. One can't eat all the time.

Thanks Lord for this special time with Janis. Thank you for protecting us and our children.

Be the center of my life and heart as I head into normal life again. Help me put you first in all the busyness of everyday life!
