If there is one food my kids love, it is pancakes. They seem to eat more every time we make them. Sometimes Daniel eats as many as 8 (small) pancakes! Wow, what is going to happen when they are grown!
Now that my nausea is beginning to get a bit better I am being struck by cravings. The thing I seem to want most often is pickles. I always love pickles, but now I feel I could eat a jar a day (which I do not do!). It doesn't help that my kids are lovers of these zesty morsels as well- at this rate the pickles I canned will be gone long before spring ever arrives. I was struck today while watching my kids devour pickles how very "Lamberts" they are. My Dad loves pickles too, and I don't know- but I would not be surprised if Grandma is fond of them as well. . . .
I will never forget "teaching" my roommates in college how delicious and crunchy pickle and cucumber sandwiches are and how they laughed at me. But they soon agreed and joined in my little sandwich parties.
Thank God for pickles!
PS: You can find my favorite pickle recipe on my recipe blog.
I've always especially noticed how much Rachel adores pickles. :) That's very interesting. :) I love pickles, too. Maybe a friend of yours will decide to contribute and give you a jar. I know I would if I was there. :)
