Spider's Web

Not long ago I was intrigued by the beauty and delicacy of a spider's work of art- its web. It crossed my mind that I should try painting one on silk. But then I remembered that Halloween is coming, and although I don't like it or celebrate it that there are those who would probably buy such a tie just now.

But the more I wonder if I should paint this the more I wonder if I would be going against my beliefs. Yes there is is something beautiful about a spider's web, and it would be fun to try to paint. But I can't make up my mind if it would be right or wrong. This is where you come into play :) I was wondering if I DID paint a tie like that what my friends would think of me? Would they think I was compromising or just think of it as cute and pretty.

So dear reader- what is your opinion?

  1. My dearest Elizabeth,

The web is intricate, ethereal, and a marvel of God's own creation. You would do well to paint one. I think that, as long as you paint it with your silver and do a blue sky or flowers behind it, it would be lovely. I believe you would only run into misunderstanding if you did the colors in orange and black. Another thing you could do is paint dewdrops on the strands. :) It would be beautiful! The spider's web is one of God's ways of incorporating lace into nature. :)
I hope you find this helpful. Any thoughts? Let me know.

    Lovingly,
    Shaina
