There is something about the first flowers of spring, no matter how humble their status, if presented by a lisping toddler for Mommy and proclaimed, "pretty."
Something so precious in the excitement of a child as he runs to Mommy with his flowers and off he runs again to get more flowers to make Mama smile.
In and out runs my little man, bringing Mama flowers. Grandma asks for him to bring her flowers. He proclaims in his limited vocabulary that these precious flowers are for , "MAMA. Mamma's flowers."
Dandelions, the most beautiful flower on earth, reserved for Mother's only, and sacred because of the joy and love in the process of picking and giving.
How precious, dear friend! My paternal grandmother was just reminiscing how we would bring her bouquets of dandelions. I believe it meant a great deal to her.:) I'm glad that you have such a happy thought today. Happy Mother's Day!
