We
began our journey to America early Saturday morning. We had an easy
flight to Copenhagen where we then had 5 hr. 40 min. to wait. We were
delighted to spend our afternoon in this family/play area. The kids
loved it. Amelija cooked food for us and Daniel enjoyed playing with
train tracks the entire time.
Our
second flight was the long one, and once we were all aboard our plane
was detained at least an hour for technical problems. We were glad to
get underway and as soon as Karlis was placed in his bassinet after take
off he fell asleep and slept until I had to take him out for landing-
apx. 8 hours. He was exhausted after his first day in life of virtually
no nap.
The kids all fell asleep for at least a few hours on the long flight and we were able to "relax" a little.
My parents picked us up in Chicago and then began our 8 hour drive home. We spent the night about half way.
These
first few days have been a bit stressful and we have all been very
tired. The kids wake up extremely early. The first 3 days they woke up
before 5 a.m. This last night was the first night they all slept normal
hours. Thanks goodness.
We are having fun with grandma and grandpa and trying to get ready for my first silk class on Saturday.
