"It's Amazing."

Today we had tickets to go to the ballet "Sleeping Beauty." It is one of the few ballets you can take kids to and it was at 15:00- kids are not allowed to attend evening performances.

We had decided we should try taking Daniel to the ballet. And that we would ride the train.

He was on and off all week whether he wanted to go. I knew he really did want to ride the train and go with us- but he was afraid Amelija and Ruta (her godmother) would do something fun without him. But when informed if he stayed home he would have to take a nap he finally made up his mind.

When we started going down the tunnel to get up to the correct train tracks he started saying, "It's amazing." He wanted to go down this particular tunnel a long time ago- but the need had not arisen. From then on he kept saying things were so amazing.

Riding on the train was amazing for him, in his very own words. After a bit though he decided it wasn't a real train and wanted to ride a different one- a green one. He saw a poster on the train wall where the train was green and decided those were real trains :) We loved watching him enjoy everything and being so happy and grateful.

As for the ballet- his feelings were constantly changing on that. There were times he liked it, times he was bored with it and times he was really into it. He did well sitting the whole 2 hours and 45 minutes (with breaks). We were proud of him and enjoyed watching him- he really got into the clapping whenever there was any.

By far the highlight of his day was the train rides- and riding home again.

And when asked how he liked his day he said, "It was amazing!"

Cute!
