Blueberry Time
The past week we have spent a lot of time in the forest picking wild blueberries. We have now put up about 18 liters for the winter. We froze part of them, and made jam with the other part. Yummy! I love that blueberry do not have to be pitted, and they are not wormy.
This is the first year I have really enjoyed this aspect of summer in Latvia. I have now lived here almost 6 years but have always been too afraid of the ticks. I am really enjoying berry picking this summer and trusting God to keep us safe from the ticks.
Matthew has even made a bit of money selling blueberries.

Sounds delicious! I also hear that blueberries are one of the most antioxidant fruits out there, as well. Bonus. :)
ReplyDeleteKudos on braving the forest, and trusting God for the benefits. :)
