Highlights of 2010

I like the idea of a Christmas letter, but just never seem to get around to writing one. And so, since I am home quite alone (with sleeping babes) this last day of the old year, I wanted to share how we have been blessed this past year.

We started our year in America, having been at my parent's for Christmas. We loved our visit there, and Janis thoroughly enjoyed skiing in real mountain country. Later that month, when we were home again we got to go on  a sleigh ride. I had always wanted to do that, and although it was VERY cold I remember our ride fondly.

In February and March I was still VERY pregnant, and we were still enjoying being 3 while eagerly awaiting our precious baby.

April 19, 2010 our Amelija Jasmine was born. She weighed 4350 grams and has so blessed our lives. She is such a sweetheart, so jolly and with such a darling smile.

May, as always was a springtime paradise. Each year we go to the rhododendron garden and never tire of the beauty of the blazing colors.

June, we enjoyed trips to the beach. But most importantly Daniel celebrated his second birthday with a trip to the zoo.

July, was outrageously hot for Latvian standards. We did a lot of swimming and our garden  grew like crazy. We had cucumbers coming out of our ears, and I made lots of pickles and still gave lots of cucumbers away. Daniel enjoyed bike rides with Daddy and all of our garden's produce.

August, was special because my parents came to visit. We loved seeing them and miss them terribly!

September and October we gathered the last of our garden produce, enjoyed Fall and prepared for winter.

In November I celebrated my 30th birthday in Paris.  What could sound more romantic than that? It was a wonderful few days there and I think everyone should see Paris if they get the chance!

December has been a wonderful months of parties, surprises, wedding celebrations and more.

And so ends 2010. As I write- the New Year is ushered in with fireworks EVERYWHERE! It sounds like a whole lot of shooting and I am amazed my kids can sleep through this racket. (Yikes is it loud, I think it kind of scary that everyone is allowed to shoot off their own fireworks-they have already been at it 10 minutes)

May your year end with peace and may the New Year be a year where you walk ever closer to Jesus!

Love,
The Grinberg Family
