Five Years

It is hard to believe that I have now been in living in Latvia five years!

During these past five years I have grown, learned, fallen in love, married, had children, felt an outsider, become nearly fluent in speaking Latvian, and on and on.

Were I to try and tell about the changes that have taken place in me and in my heart and life I would have to write a book. I have come to love this country more in many ways, come to despise it in other ways, and in general been stretched and grown as a person.

I am tired, my kids are sleeping. My husband is in a Bible study. My eyes are growing blurry as I write, I need to head to bed. I wanted to inform you that I will no longer be using this blog, but have started a new one in honor of my five year anniversary in Latvia. However, my new blog will be private, and you must have an invitation to see it. If you would like an invitation to my new blog please send me your e-mail address.

Thanks for the way you have been with me along this path, while I have learned to live this life in Latvia. Thank you also for the friendship and prayers you have always extended to me. I look forward to continuing on this path with you my friends and faithful readers.
