August 23, 1989.Nearly 2 million people joined hands in a chain spanning 370 miles across Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. This was done as a peaceful protest demonstrating their desire for independence.
Yesterday we joined in the celebration of Latvia remembering this event. To commemorate the day a race was organized along the same route and the relay to our capital and monument of freedom was exciting to behold.
Praise God for the freedom He has brought, now may He draw this country to Himself.
