Glow Boy

I know most people would call me prejudice (and I am of course!) when I say that my little son is VERY cute. I think he is wonderful, though he does have his cranky moments.

But what surprises me and my husband is how perfect other people think he is! Nearly every Sunday at church someone makes some kind of comment to us about him. Here are a few we have heard of late (translated version) :

"Your son is so special in my eyes. I don't know why, but he just isn't like other babies. I just feel so moved when I looked at him. His eyes, and gaze. . . . "

"He is so peaceful, he doesn't cry like other babies. I can't decide which of you he looks like, he doesn't look like either of you."

"He is so happy, and quiet."

"He is so pure. Babies are the most perfect and sinless that they will ever be. This is because he has so recently come from being with God."

"Oh, I can't bear it, he is just too adorable!"

I was telling some of these things to my Mom last night. She told me it is because he "glows." "Glows?" I said. She said that I was the same way when I was a baby, a glowing baby. I know that sounds funny. But maybe it is because he is happy. When Daniel smiles everyone melts, they love his dimples!

So maybe I am a wee bit, or perhaps VERY prejudice. But what Mom isn't ?
