This week has been a VERY snowy week in Latvia. I don't think all of last winter combined even compares with the snow we have had the last few days. The wind was very strong too, so the roads were horrible and the drifts enormous. Monday I didn't stir from home, it would have been impossible with my road unploughed. (Walking with a buggy would have been impossible, I don't drive anywhere as I don't have a usable car). Tuesday I ventured out, but with the buggy and the snow that was a bit challenging. It just keeps snowing and we sure are enjoying a beautiful winter so far.
Due to all the snow we have been without full electricity in our home, finally this evening (Wed) our house is back to normal in regards to electricity. I never realized just how dependent I am on it until yesterday I was without it completely most of the day. Needless to say when I even had partial electricity again I was EXTREMELY thankful!
I am reminded at times likes this to be thankful to God for the commonplace things, because they can so quickly vanish and then I realize just how valuable they were.
Jackson would love it if we had that much snow right now. He gets so disappointed every time it snows because it melts right away.
