Friday we again noticed that Daniel's hernia was protruding. We weren't sure whether to go to the doctor that day or wait since he wasn't in pain. That evening the bump disappeared after much prayer. Saturday morning it was back, so in the afternoon we took him to the children's hospital. We were admitted and told a surgeon would come attempt to push the intestine (bump) back in place and then decide when or if surgery was needed.
I was relieved when they let us go home until Sunday evening, thought still counting us as being in the hospital.Waiting in the hospital is so hard.
Monday morning I was expecting an answer from the surgeons, I waited, and waited and no one came or seemed to notice we were here. Finally, a nurse realized when had been overlooked and sent a doctor to us.
The surgeon decided that with our upcoming trip to the states it would be best to operate before that, not knowing when an emergency surgery might be required.
Today he had his surgery, it was hard to see my little guy hooked up to and IV and then whisked away to the operating room. I have shed a lot of tears these days. . .
Praise God he brought our little boy safely through the surgery and they said it was a simple one. All should be well. Thank you for your prayers, we appreciate them.
We will be here in the hospital till Wednesday or Thursday.
I am so glad he is doing well. I can't imagine how scary that must have been for you. Thank you for keeping us posted. I wish I could see you when you come stateside but I'm guessing Idaho isn't a stop you are planning :)
ReplyDeleteDear Nani~
ReplyDeleteI'm glad he's okay. I miss you so, soo much. You haven't called me recently, but I know you've been busy.
I can't wait to see you.
Elizabeth,
ReplyDeleteFirst of all congratulations on your new baby boy! Being a mom is the most life-changing experience, and most rewarding (well, and marriage too).
Glad to hear all is well.
